The Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) conferred by Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) has been approved and gazetted by the Ministry of Finance as a recognised qualification under Part I of the First Schedule to the Accountants Act, 1967.

This prestigious recognition from the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) serves as a testament to our commitment to academic excellence and professional development in the field of accounting.

Graduates from February 2023 intake onwards are eligible to apply for MIA membership as a Chartered Accountant (C.A.(M)) upon obtaining 3 years of relevant working experience. The graduates are required to undergo the Chartered Accountant's Relevant Experience (CARE) programme to fulfil the experience requirements. The CARE programme sets out the range of competencies to be attained by aspiring accountants.
